FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wake Up & Smell the Spices: The Spice & Tea Exchange Opens in Galveston

Gourmet, Experience-Based Store to Offer More than 85 Custom Spice Blends, Loose Leaf Teas & More

Galveston, TX Residents and visitors in Galveston are in for a unique sensory experience at The Spice & Tea Exchange®, a specialty retail store offering an extensive selection of spices and exclusive hand-mixed blends, naturally-flavored sugars, salts and exotic teas from around the world.

The new store, situated at 2309 Strand Street, will be hosting a grand opening celebration on June 22nd, which will include appetizers and teas for sampling and 10% off all items in the store during the event.

Exemplifying the brand’s mission of “Creating & Sharing the Experience of a More Flavorful Life”, local franchise owners Peter and Tammy Heim will introduce store guests to new aromas and flavors, as well as inspire a more flavorful lifestyle at home by providing them with quality products at affordable prices. While visiting an existing The Spice & Tea Exchange location in New Orleans, Louisiana, the Heims fell in love with the experience of smelling and tasting unique spice blends, salts, sugars and teas. Without hesitation, the couple decided to purchase the store and make it a family business. Today, the Heims’ daughter Anna manages the day-to-day operations in New Orleans, while their younger daughter Jensen is preparing to help take the reins of the new Galveston store.

Guests who visit the Heims’ store will have an abundance of products to choose from, with more than 140 spices, over 85 hand-mixed seasoning blends, 17 naturally-flavored sugars, 25 salts from around the world, and more than 35 exotic teas. The Spice & Tea Exchange® also offers recipes, gift boxes, and accessories to complement the spice and tea selections.

“The Spice & Tea Exchange is an experience-based store,” Peter Heim said. “Guests are provided opportunities for hands-on interaction with our quality spices, blends and teas. They can open the jars and smell, which invokes all of their senses, and watch our Spice Masters create hand-mixed blends right before their eyes.”

With its 18th Century trading post décor, charming atmosphere, and robust aromas, The Spice & Tea Exchange caters to an increasingly food-conscious consumer market, encouraging visitors to take their creativity to the kitchen.

“It doesn’t matter if you are an advanced cook, a beginner, new to teas or a loose leaf enthusiast,” added Tammy Heim. “Our knowledgeable and trained team members can assist with your needs.”
