Country Star Bri Bagwell to Headline Galveston ‘Boots ‘N Eats on the Beach’ Event July 21
 
Galveston Free Beach Events to Include Concert, Food Truck Festival, Weekly Fireworks & More This Summer
 
 GALVESTON, Texas (June 25, 2018) – Country music star Bri Bagwell will headline a free concert in Galveston  July 21 as part of the island’s Boots ‘N Eats on the Beach at Stewart Beach – one of many free events taking place at the beach this summer.
 
Boots 'N Eats on the Beach will take place from 3-7:30 p.m. July 21 next to the Stewart Beach pavilion, featuring a food truck festival and a free concert from Bagwell, a four-time Texas Female Vocalist of the Year.  Houston-based country music artist Louis Adams Diaz will open the show at 3 p.m. and Bagwell will take the stage around 5 p.m. 
 
Also, five of the region’s most popular food trucks will be on hand offering a wide range of international culinary delights. Participating trucks include: Cool Runnings Jamaican Grill, Churrassco Food Truck, Wylie St. Tacos, Bourgeois and Bowl’D Up. Of course, attendees can also enjoy the beach, a kid’s water slide and other park amenities. 
 
Families will also be able to participate in the Galveston Family Beach Challenge taking place that day.

Stay and Play Sundays: Free Fireworks Show Every Week

Description: In Galveston, visitors don’t have to wait until the 4th of July to see fireworks. That’s because the island will host free fireworks shows every weekend this summer. The beachfront fireworks shows will take place at 9 p.m. on Sundays now through Sept. 2. Sponsored by the Galveston Island Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), the fireworks displays will launch over the Gulf of Mexico near Seawall Boulevard and 37th Street.
 
Sandcastle Days at Stewart Beach

Description: This free, family-friendly event series allows you to take sandcastle building lessons from the pros – some equipment is provided but bringing a bucket and shovel is recommended.
 
Galveston Family Beach Challenge

Description: Families are invited to go head-to-head in a series of competitions including giant Jenga, sack races and more – all to win some fantastic prizes. These events are free to the public and structured for groups of four people. The family with the most points at the end of the day will receive a $500 gift card, plus tickets to island attractions.
