Race Participants to Wear Santa Suits & Beards for “Santa Hustle”
GALVESTON, Texas (December 17, 2014) – If you’ve never seen 4,000 Santas racing along the beach, you’ll have your chance this Sunday when Galveston hosts a wacky holiday race – the Santa Hustle.
This half-marathon and 5K event will be a “jolly good time” and one to be remembered as participants receive a Santa suit sweatshirt, Santa hat and beard to wear while running. Participants will also be able to stop at cookie stations, and enjoy festive music and outrageous holiday decorations along their routes.
The races, put on by Adrenaline Sports Management, will take off from Saengerfest Park (23rd and Strand) and run through the streets of downtown Galveston and along the beachfront on Seawall Boulevard.
The half-marathon will begin at 8 a.m. while the 5K race will begin at 8:30 a.m.
