Galveston Revs Up for Lone Star Rally
Largest Four-Day Motorcycle Rally in U.S. Rolls in this Weekend
GALVESTON, Texas (November 3, 2015) This weekend, visitors to Galveston will have a chance to experience the largest four-day biker event in the country as the 2015 Geico Lone Star Rally makes its way to the island Thursday through Sunday.
More than 400,000 motorcyclists and hundreds of vendors will gather in Galveston for a celebration of the finest machines known to man. The event will feature free concerts, bike shows and vendors showcasing everything from the hottest new accessories and bike enhancements to leatherwear and jewelry.
The rally will kick off Thursday with a concert by former Bad Company lead vocalist Brian Howe at 10 p.m. on the Budweiser Stage in Saengerfest Park, located at the corner of 23rd and Strand streets. Visitors to Galveston can enjoy more live entertainment throughout the weekend, including performances by country favorites David Allen Coe, Jared Blake and the Johnny Cash tribute act, Cold Hard Cash, Jackyl and more.
